Deutsche Landwirtschaftsgesellschaft sweeps the (DLG) awards with 4 Gold medals awarded to San Marco Garlic Bread, San Marco Sweet Chocolate Pizza, San Marco Gluten Free Margherita, San Marco Gluten Free Speciale and a silver award to San Marco Gluten Free Vegetale.

San Marco are delighted to aaounce the range has won 5 prestigious DLG awards for its pizzas in Germany including its Garlic Bread, Dessert Pizza & its 3 Gluten Free & Lactose Free pizzas.

The “DLG Award Winner” label is issued to foods that satisfy the DLG’s stringent quality criteria and sensory testing; meaning only products of above-average quality are recognised.

The winning frozen product pizza range traverses the pizza category winning DLG medals for a meal accompaniment with its garlic bread, innovative chocolate dessert pizza a wow with younger consumers and in the health & wellness product category with its gluten free & lactose free range. In the latter category, consumers feel product taste is often comprised for the health benefits.  In 2015, we launched 2 gluten free pizzas that tastes like pizza should!  The products were researched extensively with gluten intolerant consumers to deliver a range with strong taste credentials. Since their launch, our gluten free range is going from strength to strength, having received awards in 4 countries – a testament to the product’s quality.
